I won’t be posting for a bit because I’m doing what matters most.
Previously Lila wrote a poem inspired by the writings of Martin Buber. I’ll save you time clicking links. What matters most is other. Caring for others. Not stuff or things, but helping and caring for others around you.
So while my daughter works an essential job at her hospital and her husband runs his company that is also deemed essential, I will care and cook for precious grandchildren. My husband will be many miles away, putting in the crop alone.
The Family and Farming Mission
I started this blog because my original mission was to help you pause for just a minute to make sense in this crazy world, by connecting with a small family farm and providing you with illustrated recipes you forgot to ask Grandma about.
Michael Pollan said, “Don’t eat anything your great-great grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food.” Those are words we should all live by! So if you need minimal-fuss thrifty recipes with healthy whole food ingredients based on a time when everyone cooked at home, you can go to the Recipe/Topic/Monthly Directory on the menu bar, or go to this link.
I have plans for lots more inspiration for a better life for later, but for now, I’m doing what matters most, and I know you are too!
Be Blessed!
